The Health and Wellness Centre is available for all students and staff to help improve health and wellbeing. The centre provides a wide variety of support and activities. We have a fully equipped gym using state of the art Technogym equipment, indoor basketball courts, private exercise room, shower facilities, and experienced and qualified personal trainers. Many group fitness classes are regularly held, such as Yoga, Fitball, Bootcamp, Walk n Tone, Fat Burner Aerobics, with many more classes to come. We also cater for female only gym times and classes, under the supervision of our female personal trainer.

We update our timetable weekly, so please keep an eye out for changes and new developments.
We also have a Medical/ Health Centre currently being set up, starting with an experienced senior nurse. Medical check ups, family health advice and a sick bay are some of the services provided, and in the near future we are looking to have the services of a doctor.

Group Exercise Classes:

  1. Fitball: Excellent low impact fitness workout focusing on the core muscles, using Swiss/ fit balls (large inflated balls). Helps strengthen and balance muscles, and is a great cardio workout. Suitable for all fitness levels.
  2. Fat Burner Class: A dynamic and intense interval training workout which combines weight training and aerobics. Challenges your fitness levels and helps to tone and slim your body.
  3. Bootcamp: A high paced group exercise class that aims to improve fitness, promote weight loss, and encourage team work and camaraderie. It is designed to push people a little further than they would normally push themselves. The class involves running, circuits, lunges, and competitive and fun games, along with lots of other activities.
  4. Yoga: A form of exercise that uses slow movements and stretching. It is good for increasing flexibility and balance. It is also good for relieving stress and relaxing. Yoga has been used as a meditation technique for thousands of years.
  5. Walk n Tone (WNT): A great interval training class which mixes walking with intervals of light weights and resistance training. It is low impact and available for all fitness levels.
