There are many highly experienced people in employment with great skills but lacking the increasingly necessary qualifications for promotion, career progression or advancement in their own development. Assessment of Prior Learning (APL) allows those currently in employment but without appropriate qualifications, to be assessed against established criteria.
Where they meet the required standards they can:
- Receive credits towards formal qualifications
- Identify the necessary study and learning needed to complete a qualification
- Upgrade an existing qualification
