Bahrain Polytechnic signed a memorandum of understanding with Bahrain Trust Foundation at the Polytechnic campus on 17th April 2017. The Polytechnic students will have the opportunity to develop their skills and improve their employment prospects in connection with the industry.

The Bahrain Trust Foundation will offer the Polytechnic students with internships, work placements, cooperative projects, on job training, part time or summer jobs. Additionally, the Bahrain Trust Foundation will provide the Polytechnic with guest speakers to share their knowledge and expertise with students and staff.

This ensures that Polytechnic students will earn the necessary experience of working in a real company during their studies.

On this occasion, Dr. Jeff Zabudsky, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, stated: “I believe signing this memorandum with the Bahrain Trust Foundation will allow our students to be more engaged with the community. At the moment, our engineering students are working on a device which will turn humid air into drinkable water, and this is a great step towards being more involved in community engagement.

“I’d like to thank the Bahrain Trust Foundation for cooperating with us, as we seek to bring the Bahraini community even closer.” concluded Dr. Zabudsky.

Dr. Fatima Albalooshi, Chairman of the Bahrain Trust Foundation, commented: “One of the main objectives of the Bahrain Trust Foundation is to involve young Bahrainis to contribute in solving global issues in the field of education, health and economic empowerment. We appreciate the cooperation of the Polytechnic to develop the ‘Water Fountain’ project in order to provide drinkable water through humid air. This collaboration will encourage innovation and creativity among Bahraini youth and will positively reflect on their empowerment and support.”
