Bahrain Polytechnic Student Wins Award at Meet ICT 2013

Bahrain Polytechnic marks the end of 2013 with another outstanding achievement at Meet ICT 2013 that took place at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center during 10th – 12th Dec, 2013.
H.E. Kamal Bin Ahmed Mohammed the Minister of Transportation awarded Bahrain Polytechnic student Husaineya Ali Hasan Nooh who is the primary developer for her project “EnsureMe”, supervised by faculty member Mrs. Raghda Zahran.
The National Health Insurance Exchange System EnsureMe is a web-based solution that can be deployed at a national level by the Ministry of Health (MOH) supporting the healthcare reforms in improving the quality of life and providing best services for citizens in Bahrain.

The Project aims at empowering the citizens to make coverage decisions. Citizens in Bahrain using their CPR number can view products and services offered by insurance companies, record their health profile and request quotations.
Trevor Prendergast, ICT Programme Manager stated: “I am extremely excited with the turn out to our booth in the Meet ICT 2013 exhibition. The Bahrain Polytechnic booth was approached by many industry professionals inquiring about the ICT programme and the students.

“A Bahrain Polytechnic student winning the award for her EnsureMe project is the icing on the cake to Bahrain Polytechnic’s successful effort towards the Meet ICT 2013 Event.” stated the ICT Programme Manager
The Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, concluded “Not only I am delighted to see our students being innovative and creative with their work but also recognized nationally.

“We will ensure to keep meeting the goals of Bahrain’s 2030 Vision.”
