Bahrain Polytechnic celebrated the annual Woman’s Day at the campus; a day of celebration to the Bahraini women and their achievements and their important role in the Kingdom.

The day provides the platform to acknowledge the contribution women make to Bahrain; an initiative announced by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa in 2008.

Mariam Janahi, a member of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Polytechnic honored the women employees in recognition of their efforts and dedication to advance the Polytechnic as a quality learning institution.

Acting CEO Dr. Mohamed Al-Aseeri stated: “Women have played a vital role in excelling the Kingdom of Bahrain over the decades and I would like to congratulate them for their acknowledgment.

“At the moment, women represent 35% of the labour force of Bahrain and it’s great to see that women are working in a variety of sectors, industries and levels.

“Similarly in Bahrain Polytechnic, we have females in all departments in all levels, from junior staff to executive management.

“I would like to thank them for their continuous efforts and cooperation to help Bahrain Polytechnic keep providing the best education to the students of the Kingdom.” concluded Dr. Al-Aseeri.
