Bahrain Polytechnic’s student services department, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, organized a “Protect Your Heart” campaign at the campus on the morning of 11th May 2015 as part of their preventive and health promotion program.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness of health risk factors and the importance of early detection of non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and obesity. At the same time, the initiative also aims to benefit the community by educating all its members on healthy lifestyle changes.
Doctors, nurses, and technicians from the Ministry of Health carried out the examination on students and staff of the Polytechnic in order to receive advice on their health condition and take preventive measures to maintain a healthy body.
Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, and the Director of Student Services, Dr. Nawal Zewayed, gave their sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Health for their cooperation with the Polytechnic, including Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, Assistant Undersecretary of the Public Health and Primary Care.
