Bahrain Polytechnic’s Manager: Enrolments, Progression & Results, Ms. Huda Alhalwachi, announced that all students will begin their first semester of the academic year 2016-17 on Sunday, 4th September 2016. The course registration period will continue until 8th September.
Ms. Alhalwachi stated that the Registry Directorate will organize a workshop for the new students on how to register for courses in the Self-service Banner (SSB) and how to view the dates to add/drop courses available on the Polytechnic’s website. Additionally, she stressed the students to wear their student ID cards at all times, as well as abiding by all rules and regulations of the Polytechnic.
Furthermore, Ms. Alhalwachi confirmed that Bahrain Polytechnic’s administrative and academic staff has taken all necessary measures to receive the students in order to familiarize them with the university life. The Polytechnic has sought to provide a suitable study environment, equipped with laboratories with the latest technology, and renovated its buildings and increased the amount of classrooms as per the safety standards. Providing a high quality campus comes under the Polytechnic’s strategic plan 2015-2019, which falls under Bahrain’s 2030 Vision and the government work plan 2015-2018.
Ms. Alhalwachi expressed her deep regret to the students who were not able to enroll at the Polytechnic this year, for reasons being unable to pass the entry exam, limited vacancies, or unable to meet the admission conditions, and wished them success in their academic career. She added that the selection of applicants to Bahrain Polytechnic was ‘very competitive’ due to the Polytechnic’s commitment to the regulations, standards and quality of the Higher Education Council.
