Bahrain Polytechnic sent students from the IEEE branch at Bahrain Polytechnic to Tunisia to participate in training sessions and attend the Tunisian Student and Young Professionals Congress (TSYP) organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). During this event, the students participated in various workshops and gained valuable experience in areas such as event planning, ethical decision-making, and report preparation using vTools.

The participating students explained that attending the TSYP in Tunisia was an inspiring and enriching experience for them. The event offered a range of activities that blended professional growth with innovation. They mentioned attending about three workshops: “Benefits of the CIS TN Network and the Future of Creativity,” “Cloud Computing with AWS,” and “Real-Time Data Processing using Power BI.” The workshops were practical and engaging, helping them build both technical and professional skills. One of the highlights was the hackathon, which involved leading telecommunications companies that supported the students in their efforts to come up with creative and innovative solutions.

The participating students emphasized that watching university students present their own technical projects, along with their dedication, creativity, and technical skills, was truly inspiring. It motivated them to bring similar ideas to life within their own community.

For her part, the Dean of the School of Engineering, Design, and ICT at Bahrain Polytechnic, Professor Christina Georgantopoulou, expressed her sincere gratitude to the Polytechnic’s management for its ongoing support of students and their participation in various local, regional, and international events.

She highlighted that this support, along with the Polytechnic’s commitment to involving students in conferences that unite young people from different countries, reflects its dedication to fostering a dynamic educational environment. This approach equips students with practical knowledge, strengthens their connections with industry leaders, contributes to technological innovation, and prepares them to navigate future challenges and opportunities. She concluded, “We aim to build on the knowledge and skills gained to further enhance the IEEE branch at Bahrain Polytechnic by organizing a range of events and activities in the future.”
