Dr. Mohamed Al-Aseeri, Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic and Dr. Hasan Al Mulla, Deputy Chief Executive of Education Services of Bahrain Polytechnic met with crucial members of AIESEC Bahrain; including Hamad Al Ghareeb, President of AIESEC to discuss further programs to enhance the Polytechnic student experience.
AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, non-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. AIESEC provides Leadership and Entrepreneurship workshops, LEAP, Alumni International Internship, Draw Your Path and Colors of Bahrain.
Bahrain Polytechnic intends to strengthen ties with AIESEC and be more connected through their various programs. An extracurricular AIESEC club will be formed in Bahrain Polytechnic, which will act as a branch at the university.
Dr. Al-Aseeri expressed his view on AIESEC’s programs, especially adding to the many activities the Polytechnic already implemented such as the LEAP program and the Global Village.
“At the end, we want our students to get as much experience as possible.” said the Acting CEO.
“AIESEC will be providing an alumni international internship in the near future that will teach graduates about leadership, entrepreneurship, time management and management skills which will prepare them for future employment.”
President of AIESEC Hamad Al Ghareeb thanked Bahrain Polytechnic’s Acting CEO for his continuous efforts to promote youth leadership and empowerment through AIESEC.
An award was presented by Hamad Al Ghareeb to Dr. Mohamed Al-Aseeri at the end of the meeting, in which the Acting CEO gave his sincere thanks and appreciations.
