Graduate Certificates

Bahrain Polytechnic qualifications and awards are issued based on the Policy Naming and Awarding Qualifications and Recognising Non-Academic Achievements A/AB/004. Secure certificates are issued to Bachelor’s graduates after the graduation ceremony.  They are issued in Arabic and English and include the students full name and academic qualification.

Bahrain Polytechnic Certificate are produced on bespoke paper with enhanced security features. Students names are taken from the official passport and used for all official documentation. If students believe the name is incorrect, as presented on SSB, they are required to provide evidence to the Registry and complete the form: Update Personal Details.

Graduates are required to confirm their attendance at the ceremony by email or in person. Those who are unable to attend the ceremony must also update their details with the Student Registry, by email or in person at Building 8 to receive their certificate. To request the certificate via courier, please complete the postage form and pay the fee.

Ordering a Certified Copy of Your Qualification Certificate 

There can only be one original certificate in existence at any one time in each language (Arabic and English). If a graduate requires a certified copy of their degree certificate, they must provide one photocopy of the document with the original, which will be certified as a true copy by the Polytechnic Registrar. There is an administration charge for this service.

If the certified copy/documents are to be delivered by DHL courier an additional fee is charged.

Certified copy (or copies) may be requested at the Registry Student Information Centre. Graduates will be asked to complete an application form, provide the following information and pay the fees:

  • Full name at the time of study
  • Student ID number (if known)
  • CPR number (CPR card is required)
  • Date of birth
  • Date of award (month and year)
  • Type of degree (e.g. BBus, Certificate…)
  • Programme title (e.g. Business Studies, Geography)
  • Address for documentation to be sent
  • Copy(ies) of your original certificate

The documents will be prepared and despatched as per instructions, normally within ten to twenty working days following the placement of the order. Please note that at during certain periods of peak activity (e.g. registration and graduation periods), there may be some delays experienced in this regard.

Ordering a Replacement Copy of Your Qualification Certificate if Lost or Destroyed

If the original certificate is misplaced, destroyed or stolen, the graduate must inform the Bahrain Polytechnic in writing.

A replacement copy can re-issued by the Registry after DCEO approval. There is an administration charge for this service is (BHD 30.000) and a fee to courier the document.

You may request your replacement copy by completing the following steps:

  • Send the Bahrain Polytechnic Registrar a signed and dated statement that the original testamur has been destroyed or lost, but will be returned if found.
  • Complete the application form with the following information and pay the fees:
    • Full name at the time of study
    • Student ID number (if known)
    • CPR number (CPR card is required)
    • Date of birth
    • Date of award (month and year)
    • Type of award (e.g. Bachelor of …, Certificate…)
    • Address for the documents to be couriered to

The documents will be prepared and sent as per instructions, when completed. As a new Testamur must be prepared and signed, this may take up to 3 months during periods of leave.


offical-docAn official transcript contains the students’ academic history.  It lists the titles and gradesof the courses studied in each academic year.  It also gives the period of registration as a student, the award date and classification (if any).

Unofficial Academic Transcripts

Students can print an unofficial copy of their transcript at any point time during their enrolement from Self Service Banner (SSB). Registry will stamp and verify unofficial transcripts on request.

Please note that it is unlikely that an employer or educational institution will accept an unofficial transcript as supporting documentation.

Official Academic Transcripts

Official Polytechnic transcripts are produced on bespoke paper with enhanced security features and are the common format accepted by employers, and educational institutions as supporting documentation.

Transcripts may be requested at any time by completing the form and paying the fee.

One copy of the final transcript is provided free of charge to graduates, after the ceremony issued in person, with the testamur, or sent by post if graduating in absentia.


The Bahrain Registry offers a range of official letters to students, students expecting to graduate and graduands on request including:

  • Confirmation of enrolment
  • Expected to graduate
  • Confirmation of meeting graduation requirements

Students can also request a letter for work placement or job training from the Industry Liaison Manager.
