Applications To Enhance Education in Polytechnic

Bahrain Polytechnic have signed a university alliance agreement with SAP; one of the leading enterprise applications organizations which deal with software-related services, in order to produce enterprising and professional work-ready graduates in the area of ICT (Information Communication Technology) and business analytics.

The signing, which took place on 18th November 2013 at the campus, is set to bind the government educational institution and the third largest independent software manufacturer together in order to further enhance the students’ learning experience.

The SAP offered solutions will help graduates apply their employability and technical skills to virtual and real business cases. In addition, they will also enable students to explore future entrepreneurships.

Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic Dr. Mohamed Al-Aseeri reiterated that the quality of education remains a priority, as the Polytechnic continues to ensure a mutual goal with Bahrain’s Vision 2030.

Dr. Al-Aseeri stated: “For our students to gain access to the technologies offered by SAP gives them [our students] a great advantage, as they’ll be able to engage with a renowned technology company.

“We want to provide education that meets the needs of the labor market as well as the goals of Bahrain’s Vision 2030; a phased development plan that aims to enhance Bahrain’s quality of life over the coming years.

The university alliance will facilitate opportunities for students to get resourceful training and will continue to be offered through custom tailored courses offered by Bahrain Polytechnic programmes.

“I’m proud we’re doing our part to develop work-ready graduates and we hope our partnership with prestigious companies such as SAP will aid us in improving our students’ learning experience.” concluded the Acting CEO.

Dr. Al-Aseeri signed the agreement on behalf of Bahrain Polytechnic while Dr. Gergi Abboud, Managing Director, Gulf region and Mumen Suliman, Regional Manager, MENA signed on behalf of SAP.
