Bahrain Polytechnic officially opened Bahrain Hall on 17th March 2015 at the campus, held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hisham Bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, chairman of the Board of Trustees in the presence of board members, executive management, and staff.
The new multipurpose hall is set to accommodate more than 700 people in a 1,500 square meter area, equipped with the latest technology to fit the standards of hosting high quality conferences and events.
Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, Acting CEO, stated: “We are constantly following up with the Ministry of Works to implement several other projects which will benefit anyone who enters the campus, as we focus on meeting the government action plan 2015-2018 and the Bahrain 2030 Vision.”
The opening ceremony was followed by an orchestral agenda by the Ministry of Education, featuring Maestro Majdi Abdulmonam and his orchestra called “Student Symphony Orchestra” which entertained the audience throughout the afternoon.
Additionally, the ceremony also included the official opening of the new Bahrain Polytechnic website, which features a user-friendly interface for comfortable browsing, where information is available in English and Arabic.
The opening concluded with a review of the Strategic Plan of the Polytechnic, as well as honoring the members of the Ministry of Education’s orchestra for providing a fine ambience.
