Bahrain Polytechnic has announced the commencement of the admission period for its Master’s and Top-Up programs. Interested applicants can apply online through the Polytechnic’s official website during the period from April 20 to May 27, 2025, where the new intake is scheduled to begin in September 2025.
The Top Up Programme offered by Bahrain Polytechnic is designed to provide a pathway for diploma holders and associate degree holders to obtain a bachelor’s degree within approximately two years. This program offers a range of disciplines, including Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Automatic Control, Human Resource Management, Accounting, Programming, Networking, Information System, and Visual Design. Classes for the Top Up Programme are scheduled during evening hours and weekends, allowing working professionals to balance their job and academic commitments.
Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, CEO at Bahrain Polytechnic, emphasized the importance of the Top-Up program, stating: “In line with Bahrain Polytechnic’s commitment to lifelong learning and our philosophy of ‘Polytechnic for All’, we were among the pioneers in offering this program. It aims to meet the growing demand from diploma holders. Furthermore, the cost of the Top-Up program is highly encouraging compared to the expenses associated with a full four-year study program.”
In addition to the Top Up Programme, Bahrain Polytechnic also offers a range of Master’s Programmes. These programs provide specialized knowledge and skills in key areas of study, such as the Masters in International Trade and Strategy, Masters of Science in Artificial Intelligence, and Masters of Science in Engineering Sustainable Energy Systems, Master of Science in Reliability & Maintenance Management, and Master of Art in Creative Media and Design. The programmes are designed to enhance the capabilities of bachelor’s degree holders and equip them with the tools needed to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving labor market.
Regarding the importance of the Master’s programs, Professor Ó Catháin stated: “Since their launch in July 2023, Bahrain Polytechnic’s Master’s programs have played a vital role in refining the skills of bachelor’s degree holders and preparing them for the dynamic demands of the labor market.” he added that these programs align with Bahrain Polytechnic’s strategic plan to meet market needs and contribute to Bahrain Vision 2030, which aims to develop a highly skilled national workforce that supports the Kingdom’s economic prosperity.
