Bahrain Polytechnic hosted ‘Market Day’ at their campus on 4th December 2013; an event which showcases the products students have made in relation to one of their marketing courses.

Creativity and diversity highlighted the full day event, as first & second year students produced a variety of merchandises and goods ranging from snacks and T-shirts to customized pillows and an entertainment corner.

Dr. Mohamed Al-Aseeri, Acting CEO, praised the undergraduates for their ingenuity and entrepreneurial skills, which adds a great experience to their curriculum vitae.

“At such a young age, they have already managed to set up their own business.” said Dr. Al-Aseeri. “Our motto remains to produce graduates who have a solid foundation of how businesses are made and managed.”

Using the problem-based learning approach as the backbone of its teaching pedagogy, the Polytechnic focuses on more practical assignments to get students familiar with the corporate world.

The teaching practice also plays an important part in building a stronger labor market in Bahrain, as the Polytechnic continues its part in meeting the goals of Bahrain’s 2030 Vision.

He continued: “Our students will be work-ready. The Polytechnic built its programmes to meet market demand for skilled graduates.”

“I’m delighted with the effort of the students and we will hopefully carry on these kinds of events in the future.” he concluded.
