Works Minister and Bahrain Polytechnic Management Team Inspect Building 19 Expansion Progress

The Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, and the Electricity & Water Affairs Minister and Bahrain Polytechnic’s Board of Trustees Chairman Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak paid an inspection visit to Polytechnic’s Building 19, which is undergoing expansion to enhance its educational facilities and services. The visit also included the CEO of the Polytechnic, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, and several officials from the Polytechnic, who visited the site on 27th March 2022.

The project includes the construction of an additional floor in Building 19, with an area of 3,207 square meters, which will be allocated to teaching facilities for students. The project takes into account all the construction, mechanical and electrical requirements which are in line with the needs of the Polytechnic.

On this occasion, the Electricity & Water Affairs Minister and Bahrain Polytechnic’s Board of Trustees Chairman Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak stated: “We are delighted with the expansion project of Building 19, which will help us accommodate more students at the campus and enhance our teaching facilities and services. This demonstrates the growing demand of students seeking to study at the Polytechnic, as we aim to provide a high-quality educational environment for our learners. We look forward to continuing our drive for academic excellence and supporting our mission to produce work-ready graduates which meet labor market requirements.”

It is important to note that all sustainability requirements and specifications were taken into account, and the energy consumption policy was applied to preserve the environment and natural resources during the design of the project to be in accordance with the highest levels of engineering standards.
