Research Talks Series: is your gateway to the world’s most innovative and impactful academic work.
Research talks are organized regularly each semester. These distinguished research talks bring together leading research experts from institutions across the globe to deliver engaging, in-depth presentations on new innovations and research. The talks also cover critical skills essential for every researcher, including dedicated sessions on learning how to research effectively and strategies for successful research dissemination, etc.

Epigeum, a leading provider of digital learning solutions, offers a comprehensive suite of interactive, self-paced courses designed to equip researchers—from postgraduate students to senior faculty—with the skills and knowledge critical for a successful academic career.
DARE provides a number of courses for the researchers at Bahrain Polytechnic to access Epigeum courses.
How to access the Epigeum programmes:
- Go to https://courses.epigeum.com/register and complete the registration form. You must use you@polytechnic.bh email address when registering.
- Please enter the following token in the Token field: Tokens are provided in the description page of each course. Tokens provided for staff should not be shared with students. Different tokens are provided to students in order to facilitate reporting.
- Once you complete the registration fields you will be sent an account activation email. Click on the link to complete your registration and activate your account. If you do not receive the email in your inbox, please check your SPAM/junk mail. You can also resend the activation email via this link.
- Once your account is activated, log in using your username (email address) and chosen password. You will be shown the Epigeum programme(s) associated with your access token in the My Courses screen.
- To add further programmes to your My Courses area, navigate to the Enter Token screen via the user menu and enter the additional access token(s).
Research Databases
DARE provides access to some of the leading research databases and research resources.
- The Library Learning Centre (LLC) offers more than 10,000 physical books. In addition, the library subscribes to six different growing numbers of electronic databases which contain e-versions of many thousands of journals and books that cover several subjects.
- Visit the library resources. Library Staff will be glad to help you identify and use the resources that you need for your studies. Training sessions will be held regularly on how to use them most effectively.

- Visit the IEEE resources, (no login required within Bahrain Polytechnic Network)
- Visit the More Library resources, More Resources (ScienceDirect, Euromonitor, ProQuest E-book Central, EBSCO, Emerald, Hard copies of the books)
- Click to book the study rooms and media room
- Click to order new books, Remember that the books will be kept in LLC and the borrowing rules will be applied to them. Book order E- form
- Note that the LLC opening hours are Sunday – Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm.
