Master of Science in Reliability and Maintenance Management
The qualification is offered by the Engineering School in Bahrain polytechnic. The Masters in Reliability & Maintenance Management program aims to equip prospective students with the necessary skills in design, development, installation, managing and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor engineering systems, machinery, and processes. The Masters qualification is designed and delivered in compliance with the recommendations from the Curriculum Advisory Group (CAG) and other stakeholders such as the Bahrain industry, to provide work-ready engineering technician graduates. The graduates will acquire advanced technical knowledge in their respective fields, specialized practical skills and valuable employability skills that will allow them to provide the drive for the transformation towards a knowledge-based economy in Bahrain.
The program is designed to be delivered over a 12 month period consisting of 3 semesters. Students are expected to take 60 credits on average per semester and thus at the completion of their studies they should have accumulated a total of 180 credits. Within the 180 credits there exist 15 credits of Research Methods course, 60 credits of Applied Project and the remaining credits are taken from Core and Specialized Engineering Courses. The degree shares two modules with other Masters programs in the Engineering School and provide the students with the required knowledge to succeed in their chosen specialization. The language of delivery will be in English.
Entry requirements:
The following are the minimum requirements for admission into MSc in Engineering Reliability Engineering and Maintenance Management:
- Recognized bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a related field.
- Minimum GPA: 2.5 out of 4.00 (2.0 out of 4.00 could be accepted with relevant industry experience).
- English entry requirements:- IELTS score of 6.5 or evidence of a bachelor’s degree with English as the only language of instruction- Or, passing English selection tests / interviews in reading, writing, speaking and listening at the required level or equivalentApplicants with a first degree from disciplines not related to engineering or sciences can be interviewed by a relevant Programme Committee.

Master of Arts in Creative Media and Design
The Master of Arts in Creative Media and Design programmme aims to equip students with the necessary skills and expertise to succeed in the fast-growing multimedia design industry. It focuses on the relationship between research, theory, and practical application in developing creative content for digital platforms. The programme emphasises the design, content creation, and authoring of interactive multimedia products, services, and new media artworks. The curriculum comprises both theory-based and problem-based learning, exploring the role of emerging technologies, digital tools, and social platforms in producing and distributing various media genres and information formats. The programme is designed for participants who are interested in furthering their education in the fields of visual culture, new media studies, interactive design, and branding, while developing their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the objective of opening up a wide range of career opportunities in the creative industries.
The Master of Arts in Creative Media and Design is delivered over a 1-year period consisting of 3 semesters of 12 weeks each and 9 courses. Students are expected to take 60 credits on average per semester and thus at the completion of their studies they should have accumulated a total minimum of 180 credits.

- The following are the minimum requirements for admission into the MA in Creative Media and Design:• Recognized Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a related field.• Minimum GPA: 2.5 out of 4.00• English entry requirements:o IELTS score of 6.5 or evidence of a bachelor’s degree with English as the only language of instructiono Or, passing English selection tests / interviews in reading, writing, speaking and listening at the required level or equivalent• The entry requirements also include the submission of the applicant’s digital portfolio and an interview.o Digital portfolio: The portfolio should consist of recent projects that showcase creative strengths. It should include 5-8 projects that demonstrate aptitude, skill, and engagement in the field of creative media or design. The projects should be explained clearly, including captions that detail the conceptualisation and development process. In the case of collaborative work, the applicant must indicate their role and contribution. The digital portfolio should also include a copy of the applicant’s latest CV, detailing their education, qualifications, and any relevant work. If the applicant has any web-based projects, they can include the links in their CV. A personal statement (maximum 500 words) should also be attached, explaining the applicant’s reasons for choosing the programme. their current creative practice, how this programme will help them achieve future goals and any relevant education or experience that would make them a good candidate for the programme.o Interview: Following the submission of the digital portfolio, successful applicants will be invited to attend an interview. Candidates will be selected based on their motivation, maturity, communication skills and creative ability.

Masters in International Trade and Strategy
The Master of International Trade and Strategy (MITS) programme developed by the School of Logistics and Maritime Studies is intended for individuals with technical backgrounds, such as accounting, banking, finance, engineering, etc., who aspire to or are about to assume senior management positions in organizations or businesses. Unlike other Master programmes, MITS is specifically designed to provide students with a deep understanding of global trading environment and the various policies, regulations, and procedures that govern international trade. The program covers a wide range of topics such as global supply chain strategies, international trade and business practices, international trade finance, trade laws, logistics operations, environment and sustainable development, and contract management and negotiation skills. These knowledge areas and associate skills are essential for professionals who wish to succeed in senior management roles in the international business arena.

- A bachelor’s degree or higher in all disciplines from an accredited university.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in international trade or business-related fields or positions

Masters in Science in Artificial Intelligence
The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a Postgraduate Degree offered to students who are interested in furthering their education in the field of data-driven artificial intelligence science, by learning and applying processes and methods in knowledge representation, machine learning, data collection, and interpretation using interdisciplinary scientific methods from statistics, programming, and specific application domains, to support automation, smart applications, and informed business decision making. The qualification is a pathway for computer science and ICT graduates, engineering and applied sciences graduates as well as tech-savvy graduates from other domains to specialize in the area of AI and determine ways that they can apply the knowledge to different domains based on their background and interests. Graduates of this qualification may also progress to further studies in the area of AI at the PhD level.
Entry requirements:
Following are the minimum requirements for admission into MSc in AI:
- Recognized bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
- Minimum GPA:
- 2.5 out of 4.00
- English entry requirements:
- Successful completion of English for EDICT undergraduate courses or their equivalent
- Or, passing English selection tests / interviews in reading, writing, speaking and listening at the required level or equivalent
- Or, achieving the minimum IELTS score required for credit recognition and equivalencies.
Applicants with a first degree from disciplines not related to computer science or related fields can be interviewed by a relevant programme committee, asked for specific information relating to previous modules studied or work experience. Also, be required to pass Mathematics selection tests if the student did not cover a certain level of mathematics subjects in previous studies.

Masters in Science in Engineering (Applied) in Sustainable Energy Systems
The Master of Science in Engineering (Applied) in Sustainable Energy Systems is a postgraduate qualification offered to participants to specialize and gain a deeper knowledge across a broad range of disciplines. The program helps the engineers to discover holistic and effective solutions to unsustainable practices existing in modern world.
This degree features a range of targeted courses in sustainable and environmental sciences and sustainability management that includes solar and wind power engineering, carbon abatement technologies, solar energy system design and installations, combined with the energy and environment economics and policy making. The uniqueness of qualification is the strong commitment of the Institution to deliver the courses using Student-Centered learning and more specifically, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) methodology. The 1-year master’s degree program includes the Core theories that form the cornerstone of the programme, with hands-on, applied skills being developed through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) philosophy. Project work forms another cornerstone of the programme, with an emphasis on projects in most of the courses followed by a final thesis in the last semester.
The qualification includes four courses in first semester, four courses in second semester and a final thesis in third (last) semester. There exists a ‘Post Graduate Certification’ as exit qualification at successful completion of first semester of the program, and “Post Graduate Diploma” at successful completion of first and second semesters of the program. The successful completion of all courses and thesis leads to achievement of master’s degree qualification.

Following are the minimum requirements for admission into MSc in Engineering (Applied) Sustainable Energy Systems:
- Recognized bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in engineering (apart from architecture and design) or in sciences (apart from social sciences).
- Minimum GPA:2.75 out of 4.002.50 out of 4.00 could be accepted with relevant industry experience.
