Bahrain Polytechnic Connects Graduates with Industry Partners in Recruitment Expo 2022

Under the patronage of His Excellency Ali Al Baqali, Chief Executive Officer of Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) and Vice-Chairman of Bahrain Polytechnic’s Board of Trustees, Bahrain Polytechnic’s Career & Employment Centre hosted its annual Recruitment Expo on 2nd June 2022 at the Bahrain Hall (Building 12) located at the Polytechnic’s campus in Isa Town. The event hosted more than 45 companies from a variety of sectors, where Polytechnic graduates had the opportunity to be interviewed to showcase their capabilities.

During the event, His Excellency Ali Al Baqali presented his welcome note, which was followed by a speech from Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic. A variety of student projects were showcased during the event, in addition to a live interview between Polytechnic students and industry partners on stage.

On this occasion, His Excellency Ali Al Baqali, CEO of Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), stated: “We are pleased to endorse Bahrain Polytechnic’s Annual Expo which provides students with the opportunity to meet Bahrain’s leading employers and have a better understanding of the labour market.

We truly believe that knowledge is power, and education is a life-long journey. We look forward to seeing our young high-potential individuals continue investing in their knowledge to contribute to Bahrain’s future economic and social growth aspirations.”

Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, commented: “We were delighted to host our Recruitment Expo which was a big success. The expo provided a platform for our graduates and students to connect with a variety of industry members from various sectors. The graduates had the opportunity to get interviewed and find a job that matches their skills, while employers identified the most skillful candidates to fill future positions.”

He added: “Our industry play a pivotal role in designing our programmes, curriculum, and teaching methods. This ensures that our students are equipped with the requirements of the labor market, which falls under our strategic plan and Bahrain’s 2030 Vision.”

He continued: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank our patron, His Excellency Ali Al Baqali, CEO of Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), for his support and patronage. I would also like to thank our industry members for their presence during the event, and our graduates for their attendance.”
