Bahrain Polytechnic signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bahrain Investment Professionals Society (CFA Society Bahrain), which aims to enrich the educational experience for students, support the development of young Bahraini competencies in the financial services sector, and enhance human capabilities to meet the challenges in the job market.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Bahrain Polytechnic’s CEO, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, and Mrs. Zeeba Askar, the President of CFA Society Bahrain, in the presence of officials from both sides.
As per the agreement, the CFA Society will provide various opportunities for Polytechnic students, such as work placements, professional training programs, involvement in applied research and case study development. These initiatives aim to enhance students’ skills, provide them with more experience in investment, financial analysis, and accounting fields.
Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin praised this collaboration, emphasizing the Polytechnic’s commitment to strengthening ties with various sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He expressed his delight in signing this agreement, which will provide practical educational experiences for Polytechnic students to refine their financial skills necessary for the job market. This will contribute to graduating a promising young generation capable of facing challenges in the local, regional, and international job markets.
In turn, Ms. Zeeba Askar, President of the CFA Society in Bahrain, stated that this partnership will empower young Bahrainis by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices. She added, “Through this collaboration, we aim to provide students with practical experiences, professional insights, and valuable opportunities that will prepare them to excel in the financial sector and contribute meaningfully to Bahrain’s economic growth.”
