Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit all required documents within the specified period. No late submissions will be accepted, and failure to provide complete documentation will result in the cancellation of the application and acceptance.

Required Documents for All Programmes:

  1. A valid Passport.
  2. A valid Identity Card (i.e. Smart Card).
  3. Secondary school certificates showing successful completion of (at least) 3 years of secondary education.
  4. Secondary school graduation certificate.
  5. A Ministry of Education Equivalence letter issued by the: Private Education Directorate (for graduates of Bahraini private schools) or Examination Directorate (for graduates of schools outside Bahrain) as equivalent to a Bahraini Government Secondary Certificate (Thanawiya).
  6. Medical Report from a Government Medical Centre.For Non-Bahraini applicant’s: Medical Report can be accepted by any Authorized Health Center.
  7. Evidence of good conduct (not more than one year old) from Governmental Body.For Non-Bahraini applicants: Evidence of Good conduct can be accepted by any authority in their country.
  8. A valid identity card/passport of the guardian (for accepted applicants under 18).

Additional Required Documents:

Full-Time programme:

For Non-Bahraini accepted students: For purposes of fee payment, a non-Bahraini citizen with a Bahraini Mother or which is married to a Bahraini husband will be considered Bahraini and must supply the following documents:

  • If the accepted student has a Bahraini mother:
    • Copy of student birth certificate.
    • Copy of Bahraini mother identity card/passport.
  • If the accepted student is married to a Bahraini husband:
    • Copy of marriage certificate issued by a Bahraini Court.
    • Copy of Bahraini husband identity card/passport.

For transfer students: All transferred students must submit the following required documents:

  • Evidence of good conduct (not more than one year old) from the university/institute they were from (after confirming the transfer in the Polytechnic).
  • Transcript up to date from the university/institute from which the student is transferred.
  • Stamped course descriptions from the transferred university/institute.
  • Two academic recommendations from two instructors at that university/institute.
  • Stamped withdrawal certificate from the transferred university/institute (after confirming the transfer in the Polytechnic).

Top-Up Programme:

  • A Ministry of Education Equivalence Letter for the Diploma certificate (required only for graduates of private universities in Bahrain or universities outside Bahrain).
  • A Diploma certificate certified by the official authorities.
  • A Diploma’s transcript certified by the official authorities.
  • The Experience letter (a minimum of two years of experience) in the same field as the selected program. NOTE: The experience letter must include the period of employment and job title, and it must be signed and stamped.

Customized Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering programme:

  • A copy of the Acknowledgement Letter* from BAETC.*To obtain the Acknowledgment Letter from BAETC, the applicant is required to send the following documents via email to baetc@bas.com.bh.

The processing time is 15 working days after receiving the applicable fees. The required documents include:

  1. EASA Part-66 Certificate of Recognition (CoR).
  2. EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License (if available).
  3. Maintenance Experience Logbook (3 years, if applicable).
  4. A copy of the valid Passport.

  • The original and a copy of the EASA Part 66 Certificate of Recognition (CoR) showing the modular results.
  • A copy of the EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License (if available).
  • The original and a copy of the experience letter. The experience letter must include the period of employment, job title, and be signed and stamped (if available).

Customized Bachelor of International Logistics Management programme:

  • A valid pilot’s licence (Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence with ATPL theory credit issued by a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) or Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC)).
  • A letter from the employer confirming that the licence is active (for active licence holders).
  • Theory exam transcripts.
  • CPL/ATPL exam certificates.

 

Master Programme:

  • A Ministry of Education Equivalence Letter for the Bachelor certificate (required only for graduates of private universities in Bahrain or universities outside Bahrain).
  • A Bachelor certificate certified by the official authorities.
  • A Bachelor’s transcript certified by the official authorities.
  • An IELTS academic English Language certificate (minimum 6.0) or a TOEFL certificate (minimum score 60-78), obtained within the last two years. An equivalent qualification is also acceptable. (Graduates of Bahrain Polytechnic’s bachelor’s degree programmes are exempt from this requirement)
  • For applicants with a cumulative GPA below 2.5 but not less than 2.25 out of 4.00: The Experience letter (a minimum of two years of experience) in the same field as the selected program.

NOTE: The experience letter must include the period of employment and job title, and it must be signed and stamped.

  • For the Top-Up graduated student, the following required documents must also be submitted:
    • A Ministry of Education Equivalence Letter for the Diploma certificate (required only for graduates of private universities in Bahrain or universities outside Bahrain).
    • A Diploma certificate certified by the official authorities.
    • A Diploma’s transcript certified by the official authorities.

Important:

  • After submitting their documents for admission, applicants cannot request their documents back.
  • The documents required for the online admission application: The applicant must attach a copy of a valid passport and/or a valid identity card. It is optional to attach the remaining documents. All required documents must be submitted in person during the specified period (Failure to submit all the required documents on time will result in the cancellation of the application and acceptance).
  • The portfolio for applicants to the Visual Design, Interactive Design, Digital Filmmaking, and Arts in Creative Media and Design programmes must be submitted within the announced period (after submitting the online application and paying the fee) and must comply with all Portfolio Guidelines. Late submissions are not accepted.
