Following the launch of Technoprenuer Bahrain by eGovernment Authority and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB); Bahrain Polytechnic has joined forces to support the ICT program.
The Technopreneur Bahrain programme aims to support and foster information and communications technology (ICT) innovative ideas and initiatives of Bahraini youth by providing training, consultancy, financing and incubation services.
Bahrain Polytechnic has delivered the Capacity Building workshop for the Technoprenuer Bahrain program in partnership with the BDB. The five-day workshop aimed at delivering essential knowledge and skills for the next generation of technology entrepreneurs.
Cormac MacMahon, Dean of Business and one of the facilitators of the sessions, commented on the impact of Technopreneur Bahrain: This has been an excellent cross-campus initiative in delivering critical aspects of entrepreneurship at the interface of technology and business. We anticipate that, with the support of BDB, some participants will develop high potential startups.
Four academic staff from Bahrain Polytechnic delivered specialized sessions in ICT innovation, market analysis, business planning and intellectual property at Rukn Incubator in Manama and Riyadat Centre in Aali. The programme also included student participants from the Polytechnic.
Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, stated: Our partnership with BDB has been a key step in developing entrepreneurship training. We have conducted some in the past and we look forward to collaborating more with BDB in the coming year, as we both strive to meet Bahrains 2030 Vision.
