Bahrain Polytechnic and Silah Gulf Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Bahrain Polytechnic signed a memorandum of understanding with Silah Gulf at the Polytechnic campus on 20th April 2017, where Polytechnic students will have the opportunity to enhance their practical skills in a real business environment.

Students will be offered internships, work placements, cooperative projects, on the job training, part time or summer jobs by Silah Gulf. Additionally, Silah Gulf will facilitate industrial visits, as well as provide the Polytechnic with guest speakers to share their knowledge and expertise with the students.

Dr. Jeff Zabudsky, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, stated: “We want our students to gain experience in a real company during their studies, ensuring that they are work-ready upon graduation. We hope that this collaboration with Silah Gulf will provide our students with new opportunities which meet the needs of the labour market.

“I’d like to thank the management of Silah Gulf for the partnership, especially as it will meet Bahrain’s 2030 Vision and the government action plan 2015-2018.” concluded the Polytechnic CEO.

From Bahrain Polytechnic, the representatives were Sh. Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Deputy CEO of Resources & Information Affairs; Sameera Alatawi, Director of ICT; Talat Abdulla, Acting Manager: Industry & Liaison. Representing Silah Gulf were Mr. Ricardo Langwieder Gorner CEO, Suad Al Kabie, Chief of Talent; Abdulrazzaq Al-Matri, HR Manager and Humood Jassim Abdulla, IT Manager.
