Bahrain Polytechnic would like to announce that confirmation and registration for admitted students’ for the next academic year 2013-2014 starts today [August 18th] at the campus until the 22nd of August 2013, starting from 9’o clock to noon.

Admission Manager of Bahrain Polytechnic, Ahmed Malalla, was impressed with the caliber of the applicants and admitted that the competition was intense in the selection process, especially with the limited vacancies for the new students.

“Compared to last year, the quality of students in this year is much improved. This goes to show the kind of students Bahrain is graduating from public and private schools.” he said.

Emails and SMS’s have been sent to all the candidates who have applied, informing them of the decision of acceptance or not.

The selection process was based on set criteria; including meeting the minimum entry requirements and passing the entry tests to the required levels. The Deans and Heads of School work closely with the top management to review the available seats and consider the eligible applicants prior to making the offers.

Admitted students are required to come in person to the Student Information Centre (Building 8) within this week with a copy of their letter of acceptance (emailed beforehand) to pay their fees, sign all required documents, collect their student ID and register for courses.

Mr. Malalla continued: “With our new one-stop service, students can get all their priorities finished at a faster rate and be ready for orientation day, which will take place from 3rd to 5th September, and the new academic year.”

He also added that students under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by their parents to complete the registration procedures.

Students which were accepted but are outside of Bahrain can confirm by replying to the Polytechnic’s email, which then a family member can register them on their behalf until the admitted student returns to conclude the final process in person no later than 4th September 2013.

Students on the waiting list will be informed of available seats should there be space on 25th August 2013.

CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Mohamed Al-Aseeri, congratulated the admitted students which made a great effort to get accepted to the Polytechnic, and stressed the effort from the staff was just as great.

“The academic and administrative staff played a big role in attracting these students and they have done an excellent job.

“We will take the necessary measures to ensure the student is academically and environmentally comfortable in the Polytechnic, building them to be work-ready graduates, a goal that we and the Bahrain Vision 2030 follow.” concluded the CEO.

Dr. Al-Aseeri expressed deep regret to the applicants who were not called up for the 2013-14 registration for any reason, whether it was not being able to pass the exam, limited vacancies or not able to meet the admission conditions, and urged them to apply once more in the future.

The first semester of the next academic year 2013-14 will start on 8th September 2013.
