BPSC Organizes its 1st Sports Day

In an atmosphere full of fun and competition, the students and staff of Bahrain Polytechnic competed in the first Sports Day, organized by the Bahrain Polytechnic Student Council (BPSC). The event was held in the Polytechnic campus in Isa Town on Saturday, January 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The participants competed in showing off their energy and abilities, in speed and obstacle games created for individuals and groups, a section of the venue has been allocated for a health and sports related exhibition, with the participation of Physiocare, Bahrain Specialist Hospital, in addition to healthy food provided by Beo Bites.

The sports day also included a show of classic and modern sports cars, in addition to educational lectures that provided awareness and guidance for sports injuries and aftercare, as well as an informative lecture about healthy food. In the end of the sports day, winning participants were honoured for their participation with valuable prizes and coupons.

The event has been launched by the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Mohamed Ebrahim Al Aseeri, and in attendance of the Deputy Chief Executive of Educational Services, Dr. Hasan AlMulla and the Acting Director of Student Services, Dr. Nawal Zewayed, and a number of Senior Officials. And on this occasion, Dr. Al Aseeri said:
“We are impressed with the Sports Day idea brought up by the Student Council. The students have spared no effort to turn it into a reality, entertaining all the participants.

“This event has also promoted teamwork and team spirit. We expect that the event has had a positive impact and worked on increasing the skills that the Polytechnic strives to achieve; producing work ready graduates. In turn, this would meet Bahrain Polytechnic’s mission and vision, which are consistent with the 2015-2018 Government Action Plan and Bahrain’s 2030 vision.”

In conclusion, the Student Council of Bahrain Polytechnic offers their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Executive Management of Bahrain Polytechnic for their cooperation and support for the success of this event. The Student Council has also extended their appreciation to all the students and staff whom have participated in the first Sports Day, promising to develop the event in the upcoming year further.
