Bahrain Polytechnic picked up second place at the Bahrain International Garden Show 2015 which took place at the Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority from 25th February to 1st March 2015.
Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain and the support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of the King of Bahrain, President of the Consultative Council of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development, the Bahrain International Garden Show 2015 showcases agricultural empowerment opportunities that enable individuals to enhance their knowledge towards efficient and effective agricultural techniques.
Bahrain Polytechnic participated in the exhibition by displaying a 72 square meter stand, where students were able to exhibit their projects related to the agriculture sector in the Kingdom.
The students produced a film featuring on the agricultural components in Bahrain, traditional and modern. Brochures were also distributed, showcasing various agricultural projects conducted by the Polytechnic students, including partnerships done with various stakeholders, led by the National Initiative for Agricultural Development.
Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, was proud to witness the institution earning second place at the 11th edition of the Garden Show for delivering the best academic and business presentation.
“We want to be involved in all areas and activities of the society, particularly in the field of agriculture which is promoted annually at this Garden Show.
“The agriculture sector is important due to its impact environmentally and economically, and we strive to keep getting involved in community-related activities as we try to meet Bahrain’s 2030 Vision and the government’s action plan 2015-2019.” concluded Dr. Al Aseeri.
