EDICT faculty promotes the engaged learning and innovative teaching delivery through flexible delivery within the faculty. A workshop session How to “flip” a classroom? facilitated by Vasileios Paliktzoglou was run introducing the flipped classroom model. The flipped classroom is a blended approach to teaching and learning that includes face-to-face class time and online components. It enhance instructor-student and student-to-student interactions, help to foster a sense of community and allows students more control over when, where, and how to engage in the learning process.
It is hoped that in the future a uniform approach will be used in order to support these initiatives and specifically flexible delivery within the Polytechnic and EDICT faculty.
