Bahrain Polytechnic’s Equal Opportunities Committee held its second meeting of 2016, headed by Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, Acting CEO, where statistics were presented regarding equal opportunities within the Polytechnic. In addition, new proposals were discussed to promote the needs of women in the context of equal opportunities, which opens doors to new developmental opportunities at the Polytechnic.

This comes under the Polytechnic’s commitment to apply the instructions issued by the Civil Service Bureau No. 4 of 2014 on the establishment of Equal Opportunities Committee in governmental entities. Additionally, this comes under the coordination and cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women to integrate women’s needs in the context of equal opportunities for all employees and beneficiaries of the services offered by the Polytechnic.

On this occasion, Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri stated: “This meeting has shown how far we’ve come in terms of equal opportunities, and we’re proud that our employees were inspired by the principle of equal opportunities. We also reviewed the proposals that were submitted to the committee, where we took their recommendations into consideration.

“We will be organizing events in the near future to promote and spread the culture of equal opportunities at the Polytechnic.” concluded the Acting CEO.

Dr. Al Aseeri stressed that the executive management and the Board of Trustees, Chaired by Sh. Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, are keen on promoting the principle of equal opportunities to all its members, in order to achieve the national objectives of integrating Bahraini women’s needs, and contribute to the advancement of the society.
