Bahrain Polytechnic announces that it has accepted the largest batch of students ever since 2012, as up to 600 students will enroll in the upcoming Academic Year 2015-2016 which will start on 6th September 2015.
Acting CEO, Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, stated that the Polytechnic has witnessed a remarkable leap [of registered students] compared to previous years, where there were limited number of seats for admitted students [and on the waiting list].
A thorough study was conducted to see if the Polytechnic could meet the criteria to admit more students, while balancing it with the number of academic staff available for these students in each programme to maintain the quality of education by providing a suitable study environment.
At the same time, the Polytechnic ensures that the capacity and quality of the classrooms, laboratories, and equipment has improved and is following safety standards.
Dr. Al Aseeri confirmed that the admitted students have joined a high-quality educational institution as according to the reports produced by the National Authority for Qualifications (QQA).
He added that the educational standards are in line with the government action plan 2015-2018 and the Bahrain 2030 Vision, since students will be equipped with the necessary knowledge to be work-ready upon graduation, as evidenced by various companies [within the Kingdom] which trained the students and hired them after they received experience.
Dr. Al Aseeri gave his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Board of Trustees of the Polytechnic, chaired by H.E. Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, which provided great input in order to improve the Polytechnic to be a world-class applied higher education institution. He also thanked all employees involved with getting the high number of students, led by the Registry Directorate, which facilitated and eased the application process for the students and their parents.
