Bahrain Polytechnic hosted the Engineering Project Exhibition at its campus on 17th June 2015, where students presented their findings on various engineering topics in collaboration with industries in Bahrain.

Around 30 projects were showcased to an audience of students, staff, and industry, with each project showing great uniqueness and focused on solving a certain problem an industry is facing. These projects were developed over a semester as part of their curriculum.

Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, stated: “Our problem-based learning approach focuses on training our students to be work-ready, and this is done through practical learning rather than theory.

“We feel that this would meet the goals of Bahrain’s 2030 Vision and the government action plan 2015-2018.” continued the Acting CEO.

On the same day, the Polytechnic in collaboration with CADCAMCIM opened its SolidWorks Training Center at the campus, allowing engineering and design students the chance to become more productive by taking advantage of a 3D technology software to incorporate in their projects.

“The executive management feels that this centre will improve the way students carry out their projects. The students will be trained to use the software which will definitely benefit them during their career journey.” concluded Dr. Al Aseeri.

Bahrain Polytechnic’s executive management and representatives from CADCAMCIM toured the exhibition on the day.
