Bahrain Polytechnic’s Equal Opportunities Committee, headed by Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, Acting CEO, held a meeting to discuss several topics, notably being the announcement of the HRH Princess Sabeeka bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa Women Empowerment Award.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed the letter received from the Supreme Council for Women, calling on all institutions to prepare for the celebrations of the Bahrain Women’s Day, which will be in the legal and judicial field. Additionally, the Supreme Council for Women called on the Polytechnic to participate in its workshop entitled “The law of social insurance”.
In turn, Dr. Al Aseeri stressed that the Polytechnic, under the guidance of the Board of Trustees which is chaired by Sh. Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, is interested in promoting the principle of equal opportunities to all its members, in order to achieve the national objectives of integrating Bahraini women’s needs, and contribute to the advancement of the society. He added that the Polytechnic is continuing its commitment to contribute to the national objective with the guidance of the Supreme Council for Women.
Sh. Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Deputy CEO of Resources & Information Affairs, stated: “We established this committee as part of our commitment to the instructions of the Civil Service Bureau No. 4 of 2014, where all government entities must establish an equal opportunities committee. In cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women, it’s also part of our commitment to achieve the national objectives of integrating Bahraini women’s needs in all areas of the Polytechnic, and achieve equal opportunities for all employees of the Polytechnic.”
The Deputy CEO added that the executive management is keen on supporting the work of the committee and the success of its functions.
