Bahrain Polytechnic signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM) at their campus in Dubai, providing students and staff the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of hotel management.
The Polytechnic students can now make use of the partnership as they will be able to enroll to courses related to various subjects such as events management, hospitality & tourism management, human resources, and accounting within the framework of the student exchange programme.
Additionally, they will be able create joint projects related to these subjects to help students get involved in solving real world business problems.
Experience outside of the Kingdom of Bahrain helps students to expose their minds to new ideas and expand their knowledge, believes Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, Acting CEO of the Polytechnic, as the institution strives to meet Bahrain’s 2030 Vision and the government action plan 2015-2018.
“We focus on giving our students a hands-on approach when we teach them, so they graduate and become work-ready. Partnering with The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management gives our students a chance to get regional experience from a well-known university and we hope that they will benefit from it.” concluded Dr. Al Aseeri.
“This partnership with Bahrain Polytechnic will enable students to come to Dubai to undertake a period of studies and an internship within the many luxury hotels we have here. EAHM is committed to providing the best talents for the hospitality and tourism industry locally, regionally and globally.” Said Ron Hilvert, Managing Director and Founder of EAHM.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri from Bahrain Polytechnic, while Mr. Ron Hilvert, Managing Director, signed on behalf of The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, in the presence of several officials from both parties.
