Bahrain Polytechnic announced that the application period for the next academic year 2016-2017 has ended, and that June 27 was the final day for the entry tests, where the results will be released on July 28.
Mr. Ahmed Malalla, Registry Director of Bahrain Polytechnic, confirmed that 2100 applications were received ever since the application period started on last April. This prompted the executive management to consider the possibility of increasing the number of admissions as per the available facilities while maintaining the quality of education at the Polytechnic.
In addition, Mr. Malalla confirmed that the admitted students will be announced on the specified date in the Polytechnic website, and that they will all receive an email stating their acceptance or rejection to the Polytechnic. The students will then need to complete the admission process by accepting the offer from the period of 31 July to 18 August 2016 as stated on the letter. After the deadline, the students on the waiting list will then be contacted.
Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, has conducted weekly visits to inspect the admission process, as well as the entry tests procedures for the academic year 2016-2017 which was held on campus.
Commenting on the visits, Dr. Al Aseeri stated: “These visits are conducted to observe the admission process and how our employees handle it. I’ve asked a number of applicants on their opinion of the entry tests, which has been conducted electronically for the past 3 years, and whether they’ve faced any difficulties.
“I’ve asked for their opinion on the Polytechnic in general, as well as their view of our programmes and the reason they’ve chosen our institution.
“These opinions have been given to our Registry Director, Mr. Ahmed Malalla, in which I thank along with the employees for their professionalism during the admission period, and I’d like to wish the students a very successful academic year.”
