Future Collaboration between Bahrain Polytechnic and London South Bank University

Dr. Mohammed Al Aseeri, Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic met with Professor Rao Bhamidimarri, Executive Dean of London South Bank University yesterday. Professor Rao Bhamidimarri was visiting Bahrain for a business visit to conduct workshops. Future collaboration between Bahrain Polytechnic and London South Bank University was deeply discussed. The two parties agreed to work on a MOU; which is the initial step that will tie Bahrain Polytechnic and London South Bank University.

London South Bank University is one of London’s largest and oldest universities. Established in 1892, with over 25000 students, the university encourages Entrepreneurship with mentoring, tutoring, office space and starting capital. London South Bank University’s teaching method focuses on preparing graduates for the workforce with a more hands on approach to education, which is the same as Bahrain Polytechnic’s method of education.

This collaboration comes toward the Bahrain Government’s action plan (2011-2014) and the Kingdom of Bahrain Vision 2030.

Professor Rao Bhamidimarri praised Bahrain Polytechnic’s method of teaching as well as Bahrain Polytechnic’s vision, mission and values to produce work-ready graduates equipped with all necessary skills to fulfill the needs of the labour market in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, CEO of GPIC, who opened the door to the future collaboration between Bahrain Polytechnic and London South Bank University. Bahrain Polytechnic utilizes all possible chances to improve the education and training provided to the Bahraini students. We will work together to achieve the maximum benefits for the two institutions.” stated Dr. Mohammed Al Aseeri.
