Bahrain Polytechnic aims to take a step further in enhancing its educational quality after inviting several technological companies over to their campus on 12th June, targeting to replace the traditional whiteboard in classrooms with TV’s and interactive screens instead.
Students and staff members were invited to experiment the new components, as four organizations introduced and their products, along with their many features and benefits, as Bahrain Polytechnic prepares to take learning to another level.
“We specifically brought students to attend the presentation. Their feedback on the products is important to us, since at the end of the day they are the users.” stated Mr. Paul Fallon, ICT Advisor of Bahrain Polytechnic.
The presentation included many elements which could enhance the quality of education, including interactive screens, smart-phone compatibility with the screen and usage of electronic devices to answer questions.
“Some of the software presented were tailored to meet the standards of higher education, including subjects related to mathematics, engineering and visual design. Our work ready graduates will benefit from interactive learning pedagogies that these technologies underpin.
“I’m delighted to see so many of our staff and students taking part in evaluating the options available to us to, as part of our inclusive approach to building technology roadmaps.” concluded Mr. Fallon.
Bahrain Polytechnic would like to thank Promethean, Almoayyad Commercial Services, Mohammed Fakhroo & Bros and MBA Fakhro Corporation for their time to exhibit their products.
