
Bahrain Polytechnic signed a memorandum of understanding with Education Plus with the aim of collaborating to organize the first regional conference on allied health, to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 22 to 23 October 2025, under the title: “Future Perspectives of Regional Allied Health.” This conference serves as a platform for healthcare providers, policymakers, health academics, and representatives from the medical industry to broaden horizons and explore diverse opportunities in the field of allied health at a national and regional level.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Bahrain Polytechnic by the CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, and on behalf of Education Plus by Dr. Amin Abdullah, General Manager, in the presence of several officials from both sides.
On this occasion, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin emphasized that organizing the conference reflects Bahrain Polytechnic’s commitment to fostering the exchange of knowledge and sharing innovative ideas and initiatives in the field of allied healthcare sciences. It aims to explore opportunities within the healthcare sector related to both practice and education. The Polytechnic offers a range of programs in this field, such as the certificate in infection prevention and control, the central sterile services aide program and the family caregiving program, along with other training courses that contribute to the development of healthcare professionals and the advancement of the healthcare sector in the Kingdom, in line with Vision 2030. This conference is expected to serve as a platform for collaboration to enhance national and regional partnerships, and help identifying the gaps in healthcare education and practice. It will also explore the challenges and scope of practice in allied healthcare sector, support health education and healthcare practices through research and innovation, examine the demand for allied healthcare workers and the challenges that they face at their workplaces.
Professor Ó Catháin praised the organizational capabilities of Education Plus, stating that both parties have set a key goal for the conference, which is to create the ideal atmosphere for participants by making exemplary efforts to organize an event that reflects the status of health conferences in the Kingdom.
Dr. Amin Abdullah, General Manager of Education Plus, affirmed that the conference marks a pivotal moment in the organization of major events in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He stated that it will contribute to the ongoing development of the Kingdom’s health sector, building on the numerous achievements of past conferences that have garnered significant attention and created opportunities to write a new chapter in the Kingdom’s success in event organization. He emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering the conference at the highest organizational standards and expressed his gratitude to Bahrain Polytechnic for their trust in partnering with Education Plus for this event.
