On the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebration of its National Day to commemorate the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as a Muslim Arab state by its founder Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of the accession of His Majesty the King to the throne, Bahrain Polytechnic organized a joyful National Day celebration attended by students, staff and executive management, on Tuesday, 10th December 2024, at the Polytechnic campus in Isa Town.
On this occasion, the CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, extended his warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as to the people of Bahrain, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity under His Majesty’s leadership. He emphasized the Polytechnic’s commitment to celebrating this occasion annually, providing an opportunity for students and staff to come together in recognition of their shared pride and loyalty to the Kingdom. He also thanked the organizers for their exceptional efforts in creating a memorable celebration.
The event included many segments that reflect Bahrain’s customs and traditions, including: Ardah and Laywah Performances, traditional souq, henna corner, “Naqda” making, tote bag designing, pearl opening, traditional games, pottery making, Arabic calligraphy, and Oud performance. The event also included the participation of a number of local businesses owners and food trucks.
