The Bahrain Polytechnic Student Council (BPSC) awarded the organizers of the first youth forum called “Last Seen” on 23rd April 2015 at the campus.
Held under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, Acting CEO of the Polytechnic, the awards were handed out by BPSC’s former president Noora Yaseen Albalooshi to students and staff which assisted in organizing the “Last Seen”; an event which brought guest speakers from various parts of the GCC to deliver presentations on the positive and negative aspects of social media.
On this occasion, Noora Albalooshi stated: “Today, we celebrated not only the success of the event but the success of a dream that was merely words on paper, the success of a journey in which we learnt enough to come back stronger.
“I congratulate and thank everyone who extended a helping hand. A special thanks to our Acting CEO Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri and Sh. Ali Bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the staff, the leaders and the volunteers for their selfless support and enthusiasm.” concluded the former BPSC president.
A hundred students volunteered in bringing the successful event to life, and they were divided into 8 main categories, being: Public Relations, Media, Design, Registration, Sales, Scientific, Stage Preparation and Floor support.
Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri commented: “The executive management would like to thank BPSC and its volunteers for their hard work in organizing events such as these. They were dedicated in their work, and this raised Bahrain Polytechnic’s name to the community.
“Voluntary work in today’s generation is a positive activity, and this will ultimately give an optimistic image about the Bahraini young generation.
On the newly elected student council for 2015-2016, the Acting CEO said: “The Polytechnic also hopes that this years’ BPSC will follow the footsteps of the previous student council, where they will hopefully increase the number of volunteers and organize more activities for our students.”
