Bahrain Polytechnic’s Career & Employment Centre will be organizing a forum entitled “Problem-based Learning” at the campus on 16th November 2016 to its external stakeholders of the private and public sectors which include senior teachers, head of departments and coordinators.
The forum will be led by experts which will discuss some of latest issues and strategies related to problem-based learning; an internationally renowned teaching methodology. Presentations will be delivered by students on how they are experiencing this strategy
Additionally, the forum will include a presentation about an internationally recognized career advising model which will add a lot of value to a student’s current and future planning.
Exchanging ideas between stakeholders falls under Bahrain Polytechnic’s Strategic Plan 2015-2019, and Ms. Ema Janahi, Director of Academic Development & Commercial Initiative, believes that conducting these informative events will help achieve that.
“Not only will we benefit by meeting our goals to engage with the community, but our Kingdom will benefit from the new ideas that could be developed between local institutions. We feel these events could help achieve Bahrain’s 2030 Vision to enhance education in the Kingdom.
“The local schools are important stakeholders of the Polytechnic, and this forum will foster an active and positive engagement with teachers and others who are leaders of learning in the primary and secondary education sectors.” she concluded.
