Bahrain Polytechnic Announces New Alumni Club Members

The Bahrain Polytechnic Alumni Club held its first meeting to elect the administrative committee which will be responsible for the follow up on all Bahrain Polytechnic graduates’ affairs and form a link between the Polytechnic and its alumni, under the supervision of the Polytechnic CEO Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin. Six Polytechnic graduates were elected for the new board, led by Basma Bu Siam.

For the remaining positions of the club, they were as follows: Noora Youssef, Vice President; Youssef Al Essa, Secretary; Mohamed LutfAllah, a Treasurer; and Mohamed Al Hamidi and Mohamed Al Wadi as members of the committee.

For his part, Professor Ó Catháin congratulated the members of the Polytechnic’s new alumni club, wishing them all success in assuming their new responsibilities as ambassadors for the Polytechnic, emphasizing the importance of organizing alumni events, seminars and conferences that addresses various issues of concern to Bahrain youth, most importantly the requirements of the labour market.

Professor Ó Catháin emphasized the important role played by the Alumni Club in enhancing communication between the Polytechnic management, students, as well as its graduates, which falls under the objectives of the Polytechnic’s Strategic Plan 2023-26 to strengthen relations with its stakeholders.

The vision of the Alumni Club is to enhance relations with Polytechnic graduates and enable them to exchange knowledge and experiences, conduct various activities, and create a link between the Polytechnic and higher education institutions in Bahrain and abroad.
