Bahrain Polytechnic and Association of Engineering Offices Bahrain Discuss Collaboration and Training Opportunities

Bahrain Polytechnic and the Association of Engineering Offices Bahrain (AEOB) have discussed collaboration and training opportunities in an aim to enhance the national workforce in the field of engineering.

With the Polytechnic’s commitment to lifelong learning, both parties discussed about the prospect of training the various licensed engineering offices located in the Kingdom by developing customized training programmes or providing professional certifications, suitable for technical engineers and draughtsmen.

Dr. Reem Albuainain, Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs, stated that the Polytechnic believes that the future of the Kingdom’s social and economic wellbeing will rely on empowering the labor market with a qualified and skilled workforce. The Polytechnic is keen to deliver academic and professional certifications to its industry members which meet labour market requirements, as part of its Strategic Plan 2020-2024.

Representing the Polytechnic during the meeting was Dr. Reem Albuainain, Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs; Dr. Christakis Papageorgiou, Dean of the Engineering, Design, and ICT Faculty; Ali Hasan, Director of ICT; and Abdulridha Dismal, Acting Industry Liaison Manager. Representing the members of AEOB were Abdulhasan Al Hayki, President; Mazen Alumran, General Secretary; and Noor Al Mutawa, Public Relations.
