Bahrain Polytechnic hosted the “Al Nukhba Youth Empowerment Programme” at the campus, where Polytechnic graduates can increase their employment opportunity through linking their local youth talents with available job opportunities.

Facilitated by the Career & Employment Centre of the Polytechnic, the program (the first of its kind in the region) is intended to strengthen the position of Bahraini youth as the preferred choice for all graduate job positions and increase their employment opportunity within the first year of graduation.

An online assessment takes place on the program’s website (www.hirestream.me) where the graduates provide details such as their CV, a complete talent assessment, and a short video introducing themselves, their capabilities, and achievements.
Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Mohamed Al Aseeri, explained: “Using this programme just goes to show our efforts in collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance opportunities for our graduates.

“85% of our graduates got employed in record time, where 5% of the graduates went on to complete their higher studies in renowned universities, and 3% of them have started their own business.” stated the Acting CEO.

Dr. Al Aseeri concluded by extending his sincere gratitude to Sheikh Hisham Bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, for sponsoring this program, as well as thanking all those involved in turning this event into a success in order to empower young Bahrainis.
This program also comes under its Strategic Plan 2015-2019 to improve education in the Polytechnic, including the government action plan 2015-2018 and Bahrain’s 2030 Vision.
