Bahrain Polytechnic awarded its staff members who organized the annual ICT & Web Academy Project Exhibition held on the campus on 5th and 6th January 2016.
Sh. Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Deputy CEO of Resources & Information Affairs, praised the efforts of the organizers who have overcome the challenges and conducted a successful event, which saw 70 projects hosted in the area of ICT.
The exhibition was funded by a number of sponsors who have collaborated with the Polytechnic for the purpose of developing applied higher education in the Kingdom, as well as producing skilled Bahrainis to fill labor market needs.
The organizers, which included tutors from the Engineering, Design and ICT (EDICT) Faculty, were recognized for their efforts to develop students’ skills which saw 4 of them earning permanent job offers by one of the Kingdom’s leading institution. The students also received training opportunities, awards and memberships.
The staff members gave their appreciation to the Board of Trustees and executive management of Bahrain Polytechnic, and would serve the Polytechnic and the Kingdom in developing students to meet the needs of the labor market and prepare them to be entrepreneurs.
